Since she was little, Anabel experienced racial separation even among members of her own race. Anabel was labeled and judged by her lighter colored skin even though she was born to two hispanic parents. As she matured, society and culture also constructed barriers of separation around her that kept her confined to her own race and ethnicity. In her talk, Anabel makes a call to action for all of us to unite under one race, the human race. Anabel is a student at Colton High School and member of her school's TED Ed Club. Since she was little she experienced racial separation first hand; even among members of her own ethnicity. In this first experience with TEDx, she shares her vision for a world without racial barriers. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
